Summary
This study examines uncertainty in transient capture-zone estimates for groundwater supply wells and argues that transient analyses provide a more complete assessment than standard steady-state approaches. It also shows that simplified advection-only methods can bias transient capture-zone predictions, with implications for groundwater protection and wellhead management.
