Summary
Drought is a major concern in the Colorado River Basin because of the region’s high social and economic dependence on water resources and the uncertainty of future drought under climate change. This study combines Earth System Model climate simulations, the Variable Infiltration Capacity hydrologic model, and an unsupervised NMFk workflow to identify sub-watersheds with important changes in snowpack, snowmelt timing, precipitation, and evapotranspiration.
