Summary

This paper develops a computationally efficient parallel Levenberg-Marquardt method for inverse problems with large observation sets and highly parameterized model spaces. The approach is designed to reduce the computational burden of conventional inverse modeling while preserving the ability to estimate model parameters from large observational datasets.
